Accounting Analyst

The Journal Entries Center of Excellence (JE COE) and the Master Data group COE (MDG COE) Corporate Accounting Organization (CAO) are chartered to deliver value to Intel through successful implementation of transformation solutions to process the of the company related to journal entries and spending hierarchy, by partnering with global teams, senior stakeholders and influencing business groups leaders.

The JE COE and MDG senior analyst is a professional that will require to strategically connect with senior stakeholders with the purpose to drive, coordinate, and prioritize the journal entries and Master Data objectives. Alongside with that, this position involves processing journal entries and master data change request volume during month end close, which involves partnering with customers to remove roadblocks and provide guidance to address their inquiries. As both COE operates in a Global service model, the senior analyst will work in conjunction with Malaysia JE and MDG COE, meaning that it is expected to partner with them aiming to coordinate tasks, projects next steps and detect opportunities to improve the global team execution performance.

**In this role you will help Intel with the following, but not limited to**:

- Partner with a global team including, but not limited, to US, Malaysia, and Costa Rica to address objectives to successfully process the journal entries volume.
- SOX control owner to drive an optimized process quality related to our service operation model for JE COE and MDG.
- Support business process management (BPM) for both scopes, JE COE and MDG.
- Partner with JE and MDG COE customers to maintain, improve and evolve our service model.
- Process a high volume of journal entries during month end close to ensure high quality financial information if processed and posted on Intel's accounting records.
- Contribute to drive a continuous improvement culture regarding JE and MDG COE operational service model and strategy.
- Point of contact to provide data analysis that helps JE manager and team leads to deliver updates to management and stakeholders about the team's operation performance.

**Qualifications**:
You must possess the below **minimum qualifications** to be initially considered for this position:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Accounting.
- Basic working experience using SAP.
- Advanced English level.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis (pivot tables).
- Must have permanent-unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Power BI.
- SOX controls knowledge/experience
