Job summary
Do you want to be instrumental in the success of some of Amazon’s strategic and high impact projects and programs? Amazon’s Finance Operations Payroll team has an immediate opening for a Program Excellence Manager (PDE) as an individual contributor, with spoken and written fluency in English, whose experience illustrates decisions based on data analytics, ability to clearly and accurately gather and define requirements, manage stakeholder engagements and support projects to meet medium and long-term business needs.
Members on the team are self-driven, team focused, and goal oriented with an objective of delivering business solutions that meet stakeholder needs. The Global Payroll PDE is a member of the Global Payroll Program Delivery and Vendor Management (PDVM) team. We are a fun and diverse team with members in several different countries.
The PDVM function is within the Payroll team (Finance Operations) and as such this position will work with Leadership in Payroll Operations, Time and Attendance, Vendor Management, Operational Excellence and the Technical Initiatives team within Payroll to build and deliver high impact successful Global programs and projects.
Key job responsibilities
- Working with third-party vendors to dive deep into a wide range of Security disciplines and assessing risks to maintain Amazon data handling requirements for third party relationships.
- Managing 18+ critical centralized tasks (i.e. perform Vendor Operational Compliance Readiness activities) which includes but is not limited to NDAs, ABDD - Anti Bribery Due Diligence, Financial Risk Assessment, Contract Risk Assessment (Insurance Review), etc.
- Partnering with InfoSec, Payroll Operations, Vendors and internal Payroll and Time and Attendance (TAA) teams across regions. This includes understanding unique use cases, requirements, pain points and challenges.
- Enabling delivery of Global Programs and Projects by supporting project delivery and critical project tasks.
- Obtaining a strong understanding of customer needs, key deliverables, priorities and how activities align to the Amazon Leadership Principles.
- Dive deep into business led policies and processes to enable project delivery and create / continually improve structure/process.
- Think Big to develop solutions that will improve customer experience, quality and reduce process cycle time.
- Think Big and Own delivering solutions that would improve customer and stakeholder satisfaction with Vendor Onboarding, Assessment Compliance and Global Program and Project processes.
- Experience working with Vendors and Vendor Management teams.
- Automation experience e.g. VBA, Macros, advanced MS Excel.
- Strong process documentation skills.
- Experience in Technical Analysis and Information Security.
- A formal qualification in project management Prince2/PMP is desirable.
- Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA).
