**BASIC FUNCTION**
Responsible for overseeing the Product Materials Compliance (PMC) and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) services. This role is directly responsible for the satisfaction of PMC and EHS customers, the sustainability of the service model, the propagation of the services across Emerson, and - most importantly - the delivery of value from the service to Emerson businesses.

Responsible for defining the strategic direction for a service including definition of the service scope, SLAs and cost model. Acts as the primary interface to the customer including educating them on all aspects of the service, tracking demand for the service, resolving issues, and planning and coordinating project work related to the delivery of the service.

Support to coordinate SOW reviews, track the project expenses, responsible for ensuring all invoices from 3rd party suppliers are managed properly, all service fees to PMC and EHS customers are managed effectively, and annual forecasts and performance to forecasts are provided with fidelity, as requested.

Provides oversight for all PMC and EHS projects. In oversight capacity, reviews all aspects of a project from the initial proposal through execution and go-live where one to several formal walk-throughs (“assessments”) may be conducted. May be asked to assist in remediating problem projects and/or solving highly technical and complex problems on a given project, including providing consultative support to the project team and business sponsor.

Responsible for assuring that an appropriate career path is made available for all employees within the purview of the services, and that appropriate succession planning is done for all key roles within the service each year.

**PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provides direction to subordinates based on general policies and management guidance. Work is reviewed periodically and upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
- Develops and maintains close working relationships with PMC and EHS leaders at Emerson Business Units to promote the adoption of the services, and the expansion of PMC and EHS capabilities across the corporation.
- Meets no less than quarterly with the leaders to remain in touch with the voice of the customer and assure the alignment of the services with customer needs and direction.
- Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to complete assignments would normally result in serious delays to assigned projects resulting in considerable expenditure of additional time, human resources, and funds. Effective decisions and recommendations, and the completion of projects are expected to deliver value to business units in the forms of faster time-to-market, reduced product costs, and reduced operating costs.
- Frequent contacts will be required with internal personnel and Emerson customer representatives at various management levels concerning planning and execution of various projects or contracts. This individual will conduct briefings and participate in technical meetings for internal and external representatives

**EDUCATION / LANGUAGE**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Fluent in written and spoken English

**EXPERIENCE / SKILLS**:

- Preferred advanced knowledge and proficiency in the use of Product Materials Compliance and International regulations
- Expertise in chemical substances used in manufactured products and production environment
- Knowledgeable on current Global Environmental Legations such as EU REACH, EU RoHS, SCIP, EPR Conflict Minerals and other monitored substances.
- Support EHS recordkeeping requirements for permit and regulatory compliance metrics tracking
- 5 - 10 years of experience with Bachelor’s Degree OR
- 4 - 6 years with Master’s Degree

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS**:

- 10+ years of IT and business work experience, including 5 or more years managing projects.
- Experience with projects in multiple technologies and functions
- Proficient in Project Management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques.
- Exceptional customer service orientation including written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively work in a team environment
- Ability to define, organize and self-manage workload around defined project milestone to meet project goals and deadlines in a multi-project environment
- Must be able to multitask, evaluate high priorities and deliver quality performance under pressure
