**About the role**:
**What you’ll have the opportunity to do**:
- Manage a team of 1-3 accountants and clerks
- Prepare and/or Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other work products generated by team
- Ensure adequate internal controls are in place and followed
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the accounting function
**Requirements**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks
- Ability to work on a full-time basis (40 hours per week)
- Willingness to work for a US-based company
- Ability to travel to an office location in Costa Rica as needed (hybrid model)
- Ability to work from home, including availability of reliable internet connectivity
- Strong managerial skills, including employee motivation and development
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Demonstrated high degree of ethics and integrity
- BA / BS Degree in Finance, Accounting or a similar field
- Certified/Chartered Accountant designation preferred
