**The Opportunity**:
We are looking to have a Procurement Specialist o join our team in Costa Rica The Procurement Specialist will take charge of securing competitive rates for hotels and Destination Management Companies (DMCs) while maintaining our stringent quality standards. As a Procurement Specialist, your responsibilities will include creating Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents and managing all written communication with vendors throughout the RFQ process. This entails sending RFQs, scheduling meetings, and following up with vendors to address any questions or concerns. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you Join us and play a pivotal role in optimizing our procurement processes and driving our organization's success.

**Location**: Escazu, San Jose, Costa Rica

**Travel Opportunities**: Exciting travel opportunities both domestically and/or internationally to attend expedition departures. Travelling twice a year to the head office in Seattle, WA.

**What you will be doing**:

- Create Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents.
- Manage written communication with vendors throughout the RFQ process: send RFQs, set up meetings, send follow up questions as needed.
- Prepare Excel documents to compile, compare and analyze quotations.
- Review proposals and provide data driven recommendations.
- Negotiate rates and terms with vendor.
- Forecast future cost and build trip budget into excel dashboards.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations to support negotiation tactics and results.
- Ensure potential suppliers meet our compliance requirement before awarding new business.

**What we are looking for**:

- 2+ years of experience in procurement or in the tourism industry.
- Knowledge and experience of TCS products, tools and systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills: ability to find, analyze and synthesize data into concise, easily understood documents.
- Experience managing budgets and forecasting cost.
- Thrive in with fast-paced environment. Must manage multiple projects while adapting to changing priorities.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
