**The opportunity**:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Buyer to join our Procurement Center of Excellence. Your role will be critical in maintaining inventory levels and ensuring we get the best prices for our needed materials. In addition, you will be expected to research potential vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods.

Education/Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or International Trade.
- Fully Bilingual English /Spanish
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Microsoft Teams and Power BI Knowledge.
- APICS -CSCP-CPIM certification is a plus.
- Experience with Oracle or Kinaxis is a plus.

Experience
- At least five years of experience in purchasing positions.

Others
- This position works 100% remotely.
- This position will support manufacturing plants in the US with potential travel. (US VISA required).

Brief Role Description
- Place Purchase Orders based on MRP system alerts.
- Confirm Purchase Orders with suppliers and update ship dates in the system.
- Follow up of past due POs.
- Negotiating with vendors to obtain the best possible terms while maintaining a good relationship with them.
- PPV log maintenance.
- Manage assigned commodities by communicating MRP changes and forecasts to minimize excess inventory to achieve optimum inventory levels.
- Manage and analyze supplier OTD and constantly communicate with suppliers to help improve delivery.
- Maintain constant communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding customer satisfaction.
- Interact with all Departments to communicate shortages of material appropriately.
- Monitor and maintain purchasing parameters for procured items.
- Coordinate with the planning area the availability of raw materials to meet the established production levels.
- Identify and participate in PPV and consignment opportunities.
- Monitor Inventory levels. Identify gaps and drive solutions.
- Maintain Procurement Metrics according to plan.
- Develop inventory targets and manage Purchase Orders to achieve target inventory levels
- Participate in developing and implementing department goals, objectives, policies, and priorities.
- Provide technical training and support to Buyers within the lowest categories.
- Identify and participate in resolving issues by employing strong analytical and planning skills.
- Good understanding of requirements in ERP systems to maintain a high level of effectiveness in a changing environment.
- Active participation in Inventory strategy definition to achieve Inventory turns goal.
- Participate and generate Value improvement projects.
- Willingness to travel when required.
