**Overview**: The Site New Product Introduction (NPI) Supervisor is a member of the Business Unit Engineering leadership team reporting to the Global NPI Manager. At the Supervisor level, this individual will manage projects and supervise people. They will function within a single Business Unit which has a focus on a particular market segment. Their primary responsibility is to lead their team to successfully execute projects chosen and prioritized by the Business Unit Leader (BUL). The Site NPI Supervisor's team will primarily consist of people from disciplines such as Engineering and Project Management but could grow to include others such as Quality and Manufacturing. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**: - Accountable for project teams executing projects on time, on scope, and on budget while maintaining ATL values with the customer and throughout the ATL organization. - Using ATL resources within the BU, and with support from the engineering management team and BUL, identify technology and competency gaps in ATL to the market needs and outline: - Personnel training plans (including knowledge of surgical procedures, devices, and industry leaders in the BU focused market) - IR&D roadmap - Leveraging engineers to take the lead on delivering the technical solutions for the project(s). - Leveraging project managers to lead out on project execution with activities such as planning, monitoring and control, executing projects, closing projects and risk management. - Resource planning and allocation to projects. This includes identifying when new resources are needed and hiring the right person to fill the requirement. - Work interdepartmentally to remove roadblocks for project teams - Supporting Regional Sales Managers and BUL to adequately define scope, schedule, and costs as sales writes and negotiates project proposals with customers. - Monitor and report on the performance of projects and employees to management. - Supports internal company initiatives such as continuous improvement projects and business process development. - Compiling, reporting, and presenting on site BU project execution performance and status to varying levels of leadership, both internally and externally. - Coordinate with other NPI managers and the Functional team to ensure consistency in role expectations of direct reports. - Be an advocate in representing the business unit for escalations, resource additions, etc. to ensure business unit team members have the support, information, training, and resources needed to be successful in their appointed tasks - Be an avid learning to support the Business Unit Leadership to ensure regular training for the team in topics pertinent to new and developing technologies, topics of interest, etc. related to the business unit customer base and market use cases. - Regular proactive monitoring and reporting of business unit performance of KPIs to ensure deviations are identified early and addressed and to ensure successes are recognized and celebrated - Familiarity with the tools and processes used by subordinates to increase understanding of day-to-day expectations and identify opportunities for improvement - Travel up to 5% of the time based on business needs. - Communicating with global resources - flexible work schedule to accommodate early morning and or evening meetings. - Launch projects with
