The Catalyst Team is seeking an Engineering Manager to join our full-time team as full-time employee.
**Responsibilities**:
- Report to the Technical Director of AMER.
- Oversee a project (or two) from an architectural & code quality perspective without necessarily writing any code.
- Participate in the project as a programmer as well as taking the lead on code direction.
- Gain experience with industries that range from NGOs to Healthcare and have the opportunity to provide a meaningful voice in developing products that improve other people's lives.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to guide Fortune 500 companies in reimagining how both their employees and customers make use of mobile devices to transform the way they work and conduct business.
- Lead a multi-skilled group of engineers to turn that vision into a product that will be used by tens of thousands of users as part of their everyday lives.
Qualifications:
- Experience leading and managing/mentoring a development team to deliver products.
- Knowledge of Scrum and/or Kanban.
- Experience writing strong, technical solution documentation.
- An understanding of best practices in secure coding practices and securing data, in transit and at rest
- Experience advising on architectural choices and mentoring a team to execute those decisions
Experience developing with TypeScript AWS or other Cloud technology knowledge
- Be a good leader
- Be self-motivated
- Be able to problem solve and motivate other team members.
