**Senior Associate, Solution Engineering - Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Microservices**

As a **Senior Associate, Solution Engineer **with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS and Microservices with Convera based in our Costa Rica office, you will be responsible for developing, implementing new software, maintaining and improving existing software.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Developing and implementing new software and maintaining and improving existing software
- Ensuring that software functionality is implemented with a with a focus on code optimization and organization
- Recommending improvements to existing software programs
- Working with the software development team and service providers in a geographically distributed structure
- Providing coaching to Junior Associates and Associates
- Working independently on complex projects
- B.E., B.Tech or MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required
- 6-10 years of software development experience
- 3+ years of strong experience in designing and developing highly scalable Microservices and APIs on AWS ecosystem
- Experience in Java, Spring framework and Spring Boot related technologies
- Experience in REST API, Microservices and Design Patterns
- Experience in implementing SOLID design concepts, object-oriented design and techniques
- Experience in Agile and Iterative development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience in solving difficult technology challenges with a can-do attitude
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with partners globally
- Knowledge of CI/CD and Git
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results

Nice to have skills:

- Databases (RDBMS/No SQL) and Couchbase knowledge will be a plus
- Cloud development experience with AWS will be a plus
- Payments domain knowledge
- Regulatory reporting exposure
