Job summary

Come and join Amazon’s Procurement Shared Service team in Costa Rica.

As a member of the team, you support the NA-LATAM procurement and business teams in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Brazil in delivering operational purchasing tasks and specific project assignments, as well as engage in process improvements.

As a Buyer you will become an expert, providing daily support and being the first point of contact in one of the 5 core workstreams of shared services, such as PR2PO compliance check and approval, Catalog creation and maintenance, Helpdesk support, vendor onboarding or long tail sourcing.

This role will focus on the Long Tail Sourcing workstream and report to the Procurement Manager. It will be focused in supporting the North American and LATAM businesses.

Key job responsibilities
- Responsible for the end-to-end transactional sourcing cycle support to create, launch and coordinate the RFx events in Coupa.
- Responsible for the quotation gathering, quotation analysis and supplier awarding suggestion for business stakeholders.
- Responsible to ensure requests received are first analyzed and routed to dedicated, preferred procurement channels/vendors before initiating Coupa sourcing event.
- Acting as line of support for procurement teams.
- Acting as key enabler and owner of the aggregator; working in cooperation with the supplier to source the non-repetitive, tail spend.
- Responsible for the maverick spend management and long tail management as defined by GPO category pillar in line with the category strategies.
- Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships with our internal customers and suppliers
- Ensuring alignment and adherence to Amazon’s Spending and Transaction Policy as well any internal Global Procurement processes & operations
- Participating in cross-functional improvement projects
- Experienced with metrics and data presentation. - Communicative in Portuguese - Self-motivated - High precision in verbal and written communication - Good judgment and instincts; Ability to make effective escalation decision - Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment; good time management. - Ability to to resolve day-to-day problems and focus on delivering results
