The mission of the Insurance Strategy and Planning Team is to better position our Vertical to achieve our strategic goals and facilitate strong revenue growth. Said another way, we aim to better define our strategic priorities to generate the most value from every dollar we invest.
The Insurance Strategy and Planning Senior Analyst reports directly to the Insurance Strategy and Planning Director. The team values an entrepreneurial spirit, a proactive intellectual curiosity, the flexibility to move between projects that fluctuate in priority, a thirst for learning and an ability to think outside the box.
**What You'll Bring**:
- Bachelor degree in statistics, finance, business or equivalent
- 3 years’ experience working within a customer organization interacting with data and performing quantitative analysis, such as data assessment, hygiene, reporting, and adhoc analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with manipulating complex Excel formulas, pivot tables, and charts to provide detailed analytical reports and translating analytical findings into PowerPoint presentations
- Strong attention to detail and an inquiring mind to define data requirements and identify discrepancies
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
**Impact You'll Make**:
- Extract and analyze data from internal systems and provide a ‘power-user’ function for reporting, dashboarding and collation across several insurance line of business; this is critical information that will be used to analyze and improve sales performance, revenue forecast accuracy or remediate downward trends
- Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports needed to provide insights on the sales pipeline and key sales performance drivers during regular staff meetings with varying levels of Senior and Executive management
- Creatively engage and influence Insurance teams towards sales reporting best practices
- Interact with Sales, Market Development, and B2B Marketing teams to support the definition and reporting of key performance indicators for marketing campaigns and go-to-market activities
- Interact with Sales, Market Planning, and Insurance Solutions to create and publish reports to measure the return on investment for new solution development and to track performance compared to original business cases
- Interact with Market Planning to create new sales pipeline data tools to fuel our market intelligence and thought leadership efforts
- Improve and automate reporting in order to decrease manual work and improve operating efficiencies
- Exhibit very strong attention to detail and have a capability for producing accurate, error-free reports
- Illustrate a strong ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks according to business needs and seeking to contribute significantly
- Collaborate and work with peers to provide support, input and assistance as needed to meet the requirement of the role
- Analyze data, troubleshoot for errors and inconsistencies and work to solve with mínimal management involvement
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the TransUnion solutions, services, software and systems
- Support other projects as required
