**About this opportunity**

This position is responsible for providing functional and technical leadership to Finance Order to Cash projects in analysis and validation of the end-to-end finance process and system solutions. This role is in charge of analyzing, validating, documenting any new or changed finance process / system solution.

**In this role, you will**

**Responsibilities**:

- Leading the process of collecting and analyzing finance business requirements by working with finance groups to understand their business and technical needs
- Research and develop effective process solutions with a focus on scaling the business to higher volumes and minimizing manual workarounds
- Critically identify and help address issues concerning system limitations, gaps in process or inefficient procedures
- Resolve ambiguities, inconsistencies and conflicting business and technical requirements to build consensus and drive to agreed-upon solutions.
- Facilitate communication with stakeholders to ensure that the business requirements are translated to design specifications and appropriate testing efforts.
- Create test scenarios and test cases to validate project’s solution vs. business requirements.
- Analyze test results to identify potential gaps and implications
- Document the results of validation thoroughly so that Internal Audit may rely upon the findings.
- Proactively collaborate with project team to allow timely and quality driven delivery

**Additional responsibilities**:

- Support the overall Company’s strategic objectives by pro-active participation in project and team’s initiatives.
- Ability to remain flexible and change priorities in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
- Maintain solid understanding of Align’s Accounting process/procedures, systems and key internal
- Build relationships with cross functional team members to influence changes and gather support.
- Providing training to team members and corporate functions when required.

**In this role, you’ll need **

**Typically**:

- 7+ years of accounting experience
- Solid experience with functional accounting cycle
- Experience in business analysis, testing and / or project management
- Experience working with IT development staff on complex projects.
- Experience in cross functional projects, such as, an implementation of changes to ERP systems
- Understanding of US GAAP, IFRS and SOX standards and controls
- Understanding of Revenue Recognition process
- BA/BS in Accounting or equivalent
- Excellent English verbal and written communication
- ability to visualize/ present and explain complex problems and concepts.
