**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**
Wind River Systems is seeking an experienced high-performing Software Engineer for a position developing a cloud-based platform that spans across all products.

In a company with significant growth and the leader in embedded platforms, you will be part of a team developing and supporting the the automated test and test tools infrastructure used by all verification and validation teams. This position requires proven skills in software development tools and excellent English oral and written communication skills. The ability to consider multiple cloud-platform systems while designing and implementing an automated test is essential. You will likely need to work with a variety of tools, operating systems, and products to ensure delivery of high-quality automated test code.

**ABOUT YOU**

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, develop, test, deliver, maintain, and improve automated test code.
- Back-End Automated Test development to enable the testing of APIs, distinct micro-services, and database data handling.
- Develop Automated Test code that clearly identifies failure and points less technical users towards root cause failure.
- Design, develop, test, deliver, maintain, and improve automated test tools and frameworks that support automated test creation and execution.

**Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success**:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong Experience as a software developer in test or in a technical quality assurance position.
- Strong Experience developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end automated tests.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Experience supporting junior Automated Test Developers to develop best practices in automated test development.
- Experience with GIT, Jira, code review tools.
- Experience with Jenkins, DevOps, Containers and Agile practices.
- Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Experience with microservices using Typescript, NodeJs, and Data Streams is a plus.
- Experience with Postgres, Mongo and Kafka is a plus.
- A good understanding of software development best practices including SOLID design principles is a plus.
- BSEE/BSCS or equivalent experience.
