We are looking for a** Public Relations Specialist** to join our Marketing team.

**About You**

**Experience Level: Senior**

Modus Create has a strong history of content marketing and is recognized as a thought leader across many of our industries of practice. We have an ambitious goal for our brand, to be a market leader in consulting. As a significant piece of that mission, we're seeing a contract public relations expert to help identify and secure meaningful third party placement for our brand and thought leadership.

As a contractor with the Marketing department, you'll be responsible for maintaining media relations lists and actively seeking out placements for Modus Create. This may include analysts, industry publications, regional news organizations, or specific campaign-related targets. You'll work closely with members of the Marketing team, especially the VP and Head of Content to develop and execute earned media strategies that increase awareness for our brand in the communities that our key personas are in. This may include content related to multiple Modus Create delivery verticals, the future of work, and digital transformation trends.

Help us build a world-class content team to tell the story of the significant and lasting change we leave behind at our clients. Experience with B2B or tech content creation is a huge plus. Existing knowledge of software development, open source, and emerging tech will help you hit the ground running. Working with a professional services firm in the past will set you apart.

Responsibilities for Public Relations Specialist:

- Draft pitches for placement of thought leadership, case studies, white papers, and media summaries
- Leverage existing or build new relationships to pitch and earn placements for Modus Create
- Evaluate publications, analysts, journalists, and trades against content goals for the company; maintain a distribution network
- Create earned media distribution plans and measurement goals for tentpole campaigns and content
- Ensure all communication aligns with go to market strategy and brand voice
- Track and analyze media coverage to inform future campaigns

Qualifications for Public Relations Specialist:

- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in public relations or corporate communications; in B2B preferred
- Excellent organization skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong working knowledge of a variety of public relations programs
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- You love learning and understand that software is an ever-evolving world. You enjoy playing with new tech and exploring areas that you might not have experience with yet. You are self-driven, self-learner willing to share knowledge and participate actively in your community.
Having overlap with your team is critical when working in a global remote team. Modus requires all team members to overlap with EST hours daily. In addition, reliable high speed internet is a must.
