Department
- Finance
Role/Responsibilities
- Assist in period end close activities, including system close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Review contracts and modifications to determine appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with ASC 606
- Prepare billings & revenue recognition documentation
- Effectively communicate with other internal teams to improve and implement best practices
- Work with IT, Legal, and Sales teams to resolve manual and system errors
- Preparing manual journal entries for ad-hoc events
- Assist in preparing ad-hoc deliverables and calculations
- Assist in driving revenue-related system implementation, enhancements and user acceptance testing
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably Big 4 and/or software and technology industry
- Strong understanding and experience working with ASC 606 in software industry
- Experience working with SalesForce and Oracle, SAP or other ERP systems
- Experience with reading contracts to identify & assess revenue related items and clauses
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Intermediate/advanced with Microsoft Excel
