**The Opportunity**

We're seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist to join our team in Alajuela, Costa Rica. As a key member of our Structural Heart Business Unit, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our medical devices.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Provide microbiological support to our facility, including routine testing and validation of sterilization processes
- Review and analyze microbiological test results to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new technologies and equipment
- Participate in audits and quality assurance activities to ensure adherence to industry standards
- Develop and maintain documentation related to microbiological procedures and protocols
- Provide training and technical support to laboratory technicians and other stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and quality

**Requirements**

- Bachelor's degree in microbiology or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on microbiology and sterilization
- Strong knowledge of microbiological principles and practices, including sterilization validation and environmental monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work 100% on-site in Alajuela, Costa Rica, with a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Master's degree in microbiology or a related field
- Supervisory experience in a laboratory or quality assurance setting
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment, with a focus on collaboration and communication
