Key Responsibilities

• Provides facility microbiological support
• Records and reviews routine microbiological test results
• Routine release of manufactured product
• Technical support for facility issues in sterilization, environmental monitoring, and microbiological methods
• Handles routine out-of-specification test results or complex issues
• Data analysis of sterilization processes
• Participates in audits of sterilization, test lab, and biological product vendors
• Documentation and writing new or updating current microbiologically related documents
• Maintains understanding of applicable standards and applies them to qualifications and test methods
• Writes protocols and reports for qualifications for sterilization and microbiological test methods
• Develops sterilization cycles and laboratory test methods
• Provides training to laboratory technicians on new equipment or test procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Chemical Engineer, Biotechnology Engineer, or related field
• 2 years of working experience as a Microbiologist
• 2 years of experience in sterilization
• Articulates microbiology technical concepts well
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP's), Bacteriology, and use of lab equipment
• Advance command of English
• Available to work 100% on-site (Coyol, Alajuela)
• Shift administrative (Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm)
