Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Communications Leader to join our team in the central American and Caribbean markets. This role will involve working closely with Regional Leadership to develop and implement PR strategies and campaigns for our key LATAM markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute holistic media relations programs with shared KPIs, including awards and brand positioning opportunities.
- Craft and pitch meaningful stories about Gensler people and projects to major news outlets.
- Coordinate interviews, media training, and reporter follow-ups for Gensler spokespeople.
- Guide high-level decision making on PR risk issues and develop scenarios.
- Lead industry speaking engagements on behalf of regional thought leaders.
- Work closely with Global Firmwide PR and Marketing teams on global campaigns.
- Grow a team who will drive media relations strategy under your leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in PR, with experience in real estate, design, or building industries preferred.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish).
- Experience developing business in Mexico, Central, and South America markets.
- Strong relationships with national, global architecture, and design trade media.
- Knowledge of central America and Caribbean markets.
- Ability to work well as a member of a team and adapt in dynamic settings.
