Job Overview

Clean and maintain the kitchen and store room areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dish washing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment to prevent cross-contamination and maintain high hygiene standards.
• Receive deliveries and store perishables properly, rotating stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Ensure clean wares are stored in designated areas, maintaining an organized and efficient workflow.
• Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes effectively.
• Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, sending soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing as needed.
• Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to loosen and remove food residue, promoting thorough cleaning and sanitation.
• Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware to prevent damage and maintain shine.
• Break down dirty bus tubs and empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster areas to prevent overflow and odors.
• Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments, adhering to Marriott's high standards for cleanliness and quality.
• Dispose of glass in designated containers, promoting environmental responsibility and safety.
• Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin, contributing to Marriott's commitment to sustainability.
• Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and support team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, using clear and respectful language when interacting with others.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management, prioritizing employee and guest safety.
• Prioritize quality expectations and standards, striving to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional results.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, upholding Marriott's values and mission.
