Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Global Supply Chain Director to lead our Central America operations, specializing in logistics for our distribution business. This role will be responsible for managing logistics, warehouse operations, supply chain, and indirect purchasing for all Central America and Colombia Cummins distributors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage logistics, warehouse operations, supply chain, and indirect purchasing for all Central America and Colombia Cummins distributors.
- Position can be located in Panama, Colombia, Costa Rica or Honduras.
- Must travel visiting each country operation at least once every quarter.
- Manage a x-functional regional and local team through face-to-face and virtual meetings.
- Direct responsibility to comply with local country import/export regulations.
- Manage relationship & cost regulating and negotiating fees and tariffs with freight forwarders and custom agents.
Requirements
- Experience as a Supply Chain Planning, Logistics or Purchasing Manager.
- Advanced English language skills.
- Availability to travel 40% of the time internationally.
- Extensive experience in administration and talent development.
- Foreign Trade and Customs Laws knowledge on the countries in charge.
- Experience in inventory and control policies.
- Experience in Negotiating Contracts with Customs Agencies, Transporters.
- Knowledge in Lateral Distribution.
- Experience in Product Storage management.
Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
