Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting systems, including journal entries, general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the migration of O2C processes from countries throughout the Americas to San Jose, Costa Rica
- Prepare O2C related process documentation, including process maps and work instructions
- Perform cash collection processing, including sending reminders and communicating with customers
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies and monitor customer account details for non-payments and delayed payments
- Assist in credit management activities, including aging analysis and dunning processes
- Review client credit risk and limit status and work with internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a financial shared service center supporting multiple countries or business units
- University graduate; no experience required
- Diversified industrial products/manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Prior experience in finance and accounting functions in a shared services environment
- Ability to work in culturally diverse teams with multiple levels of personnel
- Ability to work with deadlines
- Experience with ERPs as a plus
