Operational Risk Intermediary Analyst

The Operational Risk Intermediary Analyst role at Citi involves working with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex issues. Integrating in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices is essential. A good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/job family is required. Applying analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies is crucial. Attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information is necessary. Typically dealing with variable issues with potentially broader business impact, the role requires professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaking down information in a systematic and communicable manner is vital. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities is expected. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Responsibilities:
Contributing to risk assessments and driving actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices is a key responsibility. Providing governance and oversight, including technology operational risk, is also essential. Executing the Managers Control Assessment (MCA) program in a timely manner, planning, testing, and reporting on Operational Risk findings, and testing and monitoring key controls are also critical tasks. Liaising with business and line control officers on any deficiencies or control gaps, ensuring appropriate remedial actions are in place, and documenting, implementing, and executing Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for management of control issues are also important responsibilities. Additional duties as assigned are also part of the role.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of previous experience, advanced English level, excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and adapt to change, demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization, consistently demonstrating clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, ability to both work collaboratively and independently, and ability to navigate a complex organization are required. Project management skills and MCA knowledge are also essential.
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience is required.
