We are seeking a Senior Equipment Technician who will report to the Engineering Manager and join our skilled team.

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, the Senior Equipment Technician will perform and document straightforward technical functions related to testing, layout, quality assurance, fabrication, modification, and assembly of mechanical equipment and components. This role involves electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical duties in areas such as manufacturing, maintenance, quality control, testing, engineering, and development, where limited judgment is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document repairs, testing, maintenance, fabrication, inspection, and calibration of components and instruments.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
  • Record test procedures and results, including numerical and graphical data for engineering review.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and components.
  • Perform self-inspections of work completed.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures for all tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Complete all necessary safety and environmental hazard training.
  • Ensure compliance with local and company regulations, policies, and procedures regarding Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma along with a technical education degree is required, with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to utilize test and measurement equipment pertinent to the specific discipline.
  • Basic understanding of technical documentation associated with the discipline.
  • Capability to successfully complete company training in manufacturing techniques.
  • Willingness to learn regulatory (GMP) requirements.
  • Competence in using PCs and associated software.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with groups.
  • Mathematical skills to perform basic calculations and interpret data.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including email, database management, word processing, and spreadsheets.
