The Role

You will form an integral part of our Costa Rica Data and Research Service (DRS) team as a Business Research Consultant. Through the delivery of secondary research, you will contribute to BCG's client work and knowledge base by supporting proposals, client cases, and business or internal development initiatives, with a special focus on Automotive, Greentech, Machinery, and Chemicals topics.

You will be responsible for delivering on a variety of requests through the day by clearly synthesizing, packaging, articulating, and delivering your findings in a timely and accurate manner. Excellent organization and analytical skills are essential for successfully managing a variety and volume of research requests by accurately summarizing data and facts into appropriate and timely output, i.e., email, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

Along with supporting research products (i.e., news alerts, company profiles), you will also contribute to knowledge capture and documentation. As a member of our DRS team, you will engage with our Consulting and Knowledge Teams daily to understand, scope, and deliver accurate, timely, and relevant data and information.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to deliver high-quality research services and support.
  • Think analytically to synthesize data and provide actionable insights.
  • Work accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment to meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with fellow DRS colleagues to approach all interactions with the highest level of quality and customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with confidence and ease to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree minimum (a 'Bachillerato' degree in Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Business Management, Technology, etc.).
  • A genuine interest in topics around Automotive, Machinery, Greentech, Chemicals, etc.
  • 0-2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Excellent English language skills – verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with a wide array of platforms, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to provide insights in the most user-friendly format.
