Job Summary

The Production Line Leader will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Nevro Costa Rica site's production process. This individual will work closely with the Production Supervisor to maintain production continuity within established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the assigned area, ensuring that people, materials, time, and equipment are utilized effectively and efficiently to achieve the highest quality and safety levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain production line setups to manufacture planned work orders.
  • Develop and assign work schedules, as well as delegate production line tasks to team members.
  • Ensure timely completion of work orders, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve production line issues in a timely manner, with the support of the Production Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless order completion, including requesting materials from the warehouse.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Ensure a safe, tidy, and fully operational work environment.
  • Manage and support team members to perform their roles safely and to the best of their ability.
  • Coordinate training tasks with the Supervisor's support.
  • Manage storage locations within the area, ensuring material locations align with the system.
  • Act as a positive role model for team members.
  • Optimize production line efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality.
  • Perform recordkeeping tasks, including inventory management, order tracking, and KPIs.
  • Transfer data from paper formats to computer files or database systems, creating spreadsheets and reports as required.
  • Pick and kit processes for accurate and timely support of manufacturing work orders.
  • Execute ERP system transactions.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 9th grade diploma, high school diploma preferred.
  • Starting a Technical Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • IPC-A-610 certification is a plus.
  • Experience in medical industry production environments (+5 years).
  • Experience with inventory management processes in ERP software, QAD preferred.
  • Experience in leading a team is preferred.
  • Experience leading safety and continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.

  • Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing assignments and priorities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work as a team member and independently.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with various audiences at the site level in Spanish.
  • Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated ability to teach, coach, and persuade.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and deliverables, and prioritize.
  • Ability to plan and manage time effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Knowledge of FDA, ISO Requirements, and OSHA requirements, as a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Capable of lifting 15 Kg (35 lb) boxes.
