About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Thomson Reuters. This role is responsible for processing various payroll-related tasks, including new hires, terminations, and status changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process new hire paperwork and ensure accurate data entry
  • Maintain employee records, including vacation and sick leave balances
  • Compile reports on base and premium pay
  • Post entries to journals and ledgers; prepares tax deposits and reports
  • Generate and distribute checks; researches and produces special reports

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; related experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and provide excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of payroll systems and procedures
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
