**About the Role at Golabs**
We are seeking a seasoned Software Development Lead to join our team at Golabs. As a Senior IBM Sterling Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with product management and technology peers to support current and future business requirements.
In this role, you will contribute towards design by creating technical specifications documents, perform hands-on development, build unit test cases, resolve bugs found during QA testing and UAT, work on performance tuning, code reviews, and test strategies.
You will implement standards and best practices for software development, promote API-based integrations strategy and microservices-based architecture, remove blockers, and ensure on-time delivery of projects while maintaining quality.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS or equivalent academic achievement or equivalent experience
- At least five (5) years of IBM Sterling development experience
- Experience in Java programming, SOAP/REST Web Services, messaging, and event-based architecture
- Experience with Shell Scripts, JSON, and JMS compliant queues
- Experience in XML, XML parsers, and XSL
- Experience in customizing Sterling UIs: Order Hub and Call center
- Experience of using SOAP UI, Postman, LDAP Clients, Source control utilities, Packaging and Build tools
- Experience working with Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server databases
- Experience of working in Agile and Scrum teams
- Knowledge of DevSecOps in creating available, survivable, defensible, and resilient software
- Commitment to learning new technologies, completing training, acquiring certifications, and being an impact player
- Problem-solving, analysis, and ability to work under minimal supervision
- Track record of delivering results within established timelines
- Strong communication skills and experience of working with diverse and remotely distributed teams
