Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Dining Service Associate to join our team at the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belen. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, including equipment and tools. You will also be responsible for receiving deliveries, storing perishables properly, and rotating stock.
About This Position
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience working in a similar role. You will be expected to provide exceptional service to our guests while maintaining a safe and clean dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including equipment and tools.
- Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
- Ensure all wares are stored in designated areas.
- Use detergents and sanitizing chemicals to clean dishes.
- Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items.
- Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware.
- Break down dirty bus tubs.
- Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area.
- Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments.
- Dispose of glass in proper containers.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You should also have basic math skills and be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
