We are seeking an experienced Humanities Teacher to join our international team at Escuela De Los Amigos/Monteverde Friends School. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to teach and mentor students in grades 7-12, shaping their minds and fostering a love for learning.

About the Role:

As a Humanities Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching up to 22 class periods per week, including classes, homeroom responsibilities, delivering Quakerism curriculum, and assisting in other classes. You will also plan, prepare, and teach engaging lessons on your topic of study, modifying or adapting lessons for English Language Learners and students with learning differences.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.Monitor student progress, maintain attendance records, and write reports on student performance.Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute school events, such as parent-teacher conferences, committee work, and cultural activities.Participate in weekly Meeting for Worship and contribute to the life of the school community.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in History or Humanities, teaching certification (highly desirable), and relevant teaching experience in middle and/or high school. A high level of organization, initiative, and energy is essential, along with a willingness to collaborate with colleagues and adapt to changing circumstances.

Visa/immigration expenses are reimbursed in the second year of employment, and you will receive an Aguinaldo (Christmas bonus) equal to one-twelfth of yearly pay.
