Cybersecurity Engineer with Endpoint Focus

Job Description:
The Cybersecurity Engineer will be part of the Experian's Endpoint Security Operations team, working under the supervision of the Systems Security Engineer Lead.
Key Responsibilities include overseeing the innovation, development and maintenance of endpoint security applications like EDR, AV, DLP, and Cloud Proxy.
In this role, you will focus on the infrastructure side of endpoint security but will work closely with users who require specific expertise beyond what the service desk offers.
You will be responsible for scheduled management tasks, automation, development, break/fix, and consulting with other business units to maintain functional and efficient services.
The ideal candidate will have experience in endpoint security, secure system configurations, and knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems, with the ability to apply that knowledge in the endpoint security operations context is required.
This position requires strong communication skills to work effectively with our teams in the global security organization and other BUs, as well as vendors.
Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting issues caused by security tools on both servers and workstations and fixing them.
- Managing endpoint vulnerabilities and how the security software mitigates those vulnerabilities.
- Analyzing security events and confirming false positives.
- Managing platforms relevant to EDR, AV, DLP and Cloud Proxy.
- Coordinating resolution between vendors, regional teams, and product SME teams, to solve complex issues.
- Developing documentation for processes, automation, and workflow.
- Attending audits in an SME role and providing audit sample documentation.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer with a Bachelor's Degree or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Security, similar discipline or related work experience.
Minimum 5+ years of information security experience in engineering, preferably with 5+ years administering security products, EDR, AV, DLP and Cloud Proxy.
A minimum of 3+ years administering Windows and Linux systems, with beneficial experience with Mac exposure.
Powershell or Python scripting desirable, though a coding background is not necessary.
Tanium operation experience and experience with multiple security products are beneficial.
A strong communicator with experience communicating at different levels, from end-users to senior leadership- facilitating technical and non-technical conversations.
Incident handling/incident response for infrastructure and endpoint, understanding of networking concepts such as VLAN, subnets, common protocols, and routing basics.
Demonstrated documentation experience and experience leading process improvements and identifying gaps and leading to resolution.
Related Certifications (CISSP, CCSK, MCSE, RHCSA) are beneficial but NOT required if your experience shows mastery in these areas.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
This is a permanent home-based role in Costa Rica.
No relocation available.
