We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GPU Hardware Design Expert to join our Graphics Hardware IP Team (GHI). As a key member of this team, you will play a vital role in delivering best-in-class visual experiences that enable users to immerse themselves in a new visual future.

 

In this position, you will be responsible for performing physical design implementation of custom GPU designs from RTL to GDS. This includes synthesis, place and route, clock tree synthesis, floor planning, static timing analysis, power/clock distribution, reliability, and power and noise analysis.

 

You will also conduct verification and signoff tasks, including formal equivalence verification, static timing analysis, reliability verification, static and dynamic power integrity, layout verification, electrical rule checking, and structural design checking.

 

A critical aspect of this role is analyzing results and making recommendations to improve current and future GPU microarchitectures closely collaborating with logic, circuit, architecture, and design automation teams.

 

The ideal candidate will possess strong GPU-specific expertise in various aspects of structural and physical design, including physical clock design, timing closure, coverage analysis, multiple power domain analysis, structured placement, routing, synthesis, and DFT.

 

This is an exceptional opportunity to optimize GPU designs to improve product-level parameters such as power, frequency, and area. Additionally, you will participate in the development and improvement of physical design methodologies and flow automation.

 

To excel in this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with at least 4 years of industry experience or a Master's degree in the same field with at least 3 years of industry experience.

 

Your experience must include reading layout and understanding DRC rules, static timing analysis concepts, scripting (TCL or Python), and automatic place and route (APR) flows.
