Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is a world-class organization seeking a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills to join our Global Business Services FP&A team as a Financial Analyst II.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in analyzing finances for internal implementation projects, supporting the Shared Services Centers Enablement function, and providing exceptional decision support to business leadership through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Annual Operating Plan Preparation: Prepare and present comprehensive annual operating plans for the enablement organization, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Financial Support: Analyze variances between actuals and projected outcomes, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Data Analysis: Develop and maintain complex financial models, dashboards, and reports to drive business decisions.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process standardization and implement productivity improvements.
  • Month-End Close Process: Complete and review the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting cycles.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a relevant field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of FP&A experience in a Shared Service Center environment.
  • Skills: Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, internal controls, and technical accounting; strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data and identify patterns.
  • Soft Skills: Proven history of cross-functional collaboration, building organizational relationships, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
