We're seeking an experienced Technical Community Program Manager to join our team at Canonical. As a key member of our community team, you'll play a vital role in facilitating collaboration between community members and Canonical teams.
About the Role:In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting community initiatives with your technical skills and strong organizational abilities. You'll integrate community plans with Canonical plans for maximum impact and represent community interests to Canonical teams.
You'll communicate effectively with developers and software engineers, working closely with volunteer developers to create successful tools and projects. We're looking for someone who is passionate about open source software and sustainable community building.
**Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate proactively with a distributed team
- Write high-quality content to promote and support community initiatives
- Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding good solutions to community problems
**Requirements:**
- Experience with developer tools and open source projects
- Technically skilled with Linux
- Clear public record of accomplishments (talks, blog posts, GitHub, Twitter, etc)
- Interest and experience with two or more of the following: Ubuntu Linux - kernel or userspace, DevOps, software development, testing and QA, package management, container technology
