**Job Title:** Food Service Equipment Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Equipment Operator to join our team at Marriott International.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining all food service equipment, including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure seamless operation and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and Maintain Food Service Equipment: Operate and maintain all food service equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order and meets health and safety standards.
  • Wash and Sanitize Kitchen Areas: Wash and sanitize all kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Receive Deliveries and Store Perishables: Receive deliveries and store perishable items properly, rotating stock to ensure that the oldest items are used before they expire.
  • Ensure Clean Wares Are Stored Properly: Ensure that clean wares are stored in designated areas, easily accessible and labeled correctly.
  • Use Detergent, Rinsing, and Sanitizing Chemicals: Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes, utensils, and equipment.
  • Inspect, Pull, and Stack Cleaned Items: Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, sending soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing as needed.
  • Rack and Spray Racked Items: Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to loosen and remove food residue.
  • Sort, Soak, and Wash/Re-Wash Silverware: Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware to ensure it is sparkling clean and free of any residual food particles.
  • Break Down Dirty Bus Tubs: Break down dirty bus tubs and transport them to the dish room for washing.
  • Empty and Maintain Trashcans and Dumpster Area: Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area to prevent pests and odors from accumulating.
  • Clean and Mop All Areas: Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments, including floors, walls, and equipment.
  • Dispose of Glass Properly: Dispose of glass in the proper containers to prevent breakage and injuries.
  • Break Down Cardboard Boxes: Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin.
  • Follow Company Policies and Procedures: Follow all company and safety policies and procedures, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management. Complete safety training and certifications as required.
  • Protect Company Assets: Protect company assets by using company property responsibly and reporting any incidents or damage promptly.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with colleagues and management, using clear and professional language to convey information and resolve issues.
  • Become a Valued Team Member: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to reach common goals and exceeding expectations through exceptional performance and dedication.
  • Maintain Quality Expectations: Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, consistently delivering high-quality results and taking ownership of personal performance.
  • Perform Physical Demands: Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Be Available to Work Varied Shifts: Be available to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business.
