The Mechanical Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and functionality of company facilities and equipment. This role entails a range of tasks, including electrical repairs and installations, fleet maintenance, plumbing, welding, carpentry, painting, masonry, machine servicing, and general mechanical upkeep.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Under general supervision, performs complex tasks that require experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Reviews service requests to determine the nature of problems and recommends suitable solutions.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to coordinate day-to-day operations and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Serves as a resource for resolving complex issues and provides guidance to team members.
  • Cordinates work with external contractors to meet project objectives.
  • Evaluates and ensures compliance with safety protocols and building codes.
  • Performs repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and maintains facility systems to prevent downtime.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

  • High School graduate or demonstrated equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in a related field, such as HVAC, industrial mechanics, or automotive repair.

**Additional Information:**

  • This position may require a valid Driver's License.
  • This role does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Some tasks involve repetitive wrist movements.
  • Ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.
  • Requires ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs as needed.
  • Flexibility to bend/stoop, squat, kneel, reach/stretch, and move in a 90-degree fashion.
  • Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
  • Ability to read and understand information contained in documents or displayed on a computer screen.
  • Ability to use office equipment and operate a computer keyboard to access databases and send/receive messages.
  • Ability to attend meetings and travel to other locations as required.
