**Job Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Network Operations Engineer to join our team at Emerson. In this role, you will be responsible for providing Tier 3 support of the Global Data Center and supporting WAN systems.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Support and monitor WAN or other supporting systems
  • Work under the general direction of Network Operations management to respond to Service Requests, Problems, Incidents, and Change Requests

**Requirements**

  • Detailed understanding of Cisco networking equipment function and configuration
  • Understanding of software-defined networks
  • Extensive hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches and routers
  • Extensive experience administering and configuring layer 2 and layer 3 Cisco networks, experience with Cisco firewalls and load-balancers preferred
  • Advanced operational knowledge of VLANs, spanning tree, BGP & EIGRP in highly redundant and diverse WAN/LAN environments
  • Experience with network monitoring tools
  • Ability to analyze data and deliver metrics associated with utilization, capacity, and functional operation of the network

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or equivalent proven work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or related technology/engineering discipline
  • 5 or more years working with Cisco routing, switching, and/or security devices
  • Experience in large WAN and datacenter environments
