About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Analyst to join our team at Freudenberg. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing federal and state tax returns, as well as assisting with tax depreciation calculations and apportionment requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely federal and state tax returns for US companies
  • Assist with the rollforward and preparation of tax depreciation calculations for federal and non-conforming states
  • Review US state tax apportionment requests and provide recommendations
  • Compile New York sales by City reports for state and city income tax return filings

Requirements:

  • Advanced Excel skills with experience managing large datasets
  • Ability to learn new software tools and adapt to changing requirements
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in tax return preparation software (preferably Thomson Reuters OneSource Applications)
  • 3-7 years of experience in tax compliance for large multi-state companies
  • US Federal and State tax compliance experience for manufacturing entities
  • Mid-size to large public accounting experience or industry experience
