Your Role

As a Senior Project Architect, you will collaborate with a team of specialists to execute architectural initiatives. Utilize your industry expertise and technical knowledge to guide client projects from inception to completion. You will engage in all stages of the project lifecycle, including documentation and construction oversight. Your innovative mindset, combined with the ability to deliver practical technical solutions to emerging design challenges, is essential. You should excel in personal accountability while fostering open communication and a team-oriented atmosphere.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee all project phases, from documentation setup to construction management.
  • Coordinate project timelines, budgets, and logistics with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants, ensuring cost management through effective project development and digital clash detection.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of architectural and technical project components.
  • Facilitate project team coordination, specifications, and material selections necessary for construction.
  • Address complex technical and design challenges as they arise during documentation and construction phases.
  • Manage diverse project teams, including consultants, project architects, interior designers, and job captains.
  • Prepare and verify the accuracy of technical documentation.
  • Engage in preconstruction activities, including RFIs and value engineering.
  • Participate in the construction oversight of project assignments, focusing on quality control and review of submissions.
  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory bodies to achieve overall project goals.
  • Create architectural drawings.
  • Conduct site evaluations.
  • Manage coordination among clients, teams, and projects, ensuring comprehensive documentation alignment with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants.
  • Support communication among project teams, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and permitting officials.
  • Provide technical direction and innovative solutions to resolve intricate technical and design issues.
  • Review technical documents for accuracy.
  • Supervise the construction management of project assignments, emphasizing design integrity, construction quality, and compliance with international standards.
  • Lead coordination efforts with contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project process.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in architectural design.
  • Proficient in REVIT, SketchUp, and construction administration software.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with national and international building codes, standards, and construction practices.
  • Experience with mid-scale to large construction projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the entire project lifecycle, including post-occupancy.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management abilities.
  • Experience in construction documentation and design detail development.
  • Ability to navigate challenging situations with professionalism and emotional intelligence.
  • Proven experience in leading, managing, and mentoring multiple project teams.
  • Demonstrated fiscal responsibility across various project types.
  • Ability to maintain and cultivate client relationships.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
