Smartsheet is seeking a skilled Marketing Finance Specialist to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in finance, budgeting, and forecasting.

This role involves working closely with marketing managers to gather budget requirements, updates, and adherence to allocated budgets throughout the fiscal year.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and tracking the marketing budget, as well as preparing accurate and timely financial forecasts, variance analyses, and budget accuracy reports.

In addition to financial expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

The Marketing Finance Specialist will report to the Sr. Manager of FP&A located in our Bellevue, WA office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of the Marketing forecasting process
  • Work closely with marketing managers to gather budget requirements and updates
  • Develop, implement, and track the marketing budget
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts, variance analyses, and budget accuracy reports
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in Finance/FP&A positions
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or similar quantitative discipline
  • Language fluency in English
  • Exposure to SaaS subscription-based business models and associated KPIs
  • Experience with Opex modeling and forecasting, large data sets, and sophisticated models
