About the Role

This position is part of Abbott's Electrophysiology Division, working out of our location in the Electropphysiology business. In this business, we're advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and place purchase orders per requirements of material requirements planning (MRP) or requisitions, and confirm delivery dates.
  • Coordinate the return of damaged goods, replacement items, or credit arrangements.
  • Plan and schedule deliveries to optimize inventories in support of production schedules, working with suppliers to maintain supplies and minimize shortages.
  • Monitor supplier performance, communicate, and take action to maintain a high level of supplier performance.
  • Perform materials filing and administrative support.
  • Maintain and update supplier data in the supplier database (ASL) as required.
  • Maintain inventory levels based on forecast.

Requirements

  • Advanced student with at least 80% in a related business field, such as supply chain, finance, or business administration.
  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • Ability to manage the entire purchasing cycle from initial quoting to confirmed order receipt.
  • Ability to identify cost savings opportunities and implement plans to realize savings.
  • Intermediate command of English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of material requirements planning (MRP), purchasing, and production principles.
  • Experience in the medical manufacturing field or similar roles.
