Job Description:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in payroll and human resources, with experience working with Exactus modules. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee payroll records, managing workflow, and reconciling payroll before transmission. Additionally, you will develop ad-hoc financial and operational reporting as needed and respond to staff members' consultations on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records.
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Reconcile payroll before transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Process correct payroll transaction calculations and compliance.
- Execute overtime and deduction processing and interface with payroll.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly and year-end reporting (CCSS, INS, Tributación, etc).
- Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
- Respond to staff members' consultations on time.
Requirements:
- English-Spanish language proficiency (oral and writing of a B2 level in English).
- 1-2 years' experience working with Exactus modules: payroll, vacation, and HR.
- Aavailable to come to the office (Heredia) in hybrid mode.
- Technical degree in accounting, human resources, or related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of payroll best practices.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel).
- Good knowledge of CR regulations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong initiative to follow up on pending issues and organize assigned work.
- Ability to research, collect, assimilate, retain, and analyze business information, including diagnosis and correction of problems.
- Strong work ethic and team player.
- Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
- Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
- Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
