About the Role:

You will be accountable for end-to-end budgeting and financial forecasting, tax, and control processes in GBS for BAT US. Your expertise will ensure seamless exchange of standard processes across GBS and BAT US teams.

In this role, you will support and drive the Corporate Finance Operating Model (CFOM) development and adoption in BAT US. You will maintain engagement with senior finance team members to drive continuous improvement in the way of working, develop strategic operational plans, and ensure a robust control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for end-to-end Budgeting & Financial Forecasting, Tax, and Control processes in GBS for BAT US.
  • Own the exchange of standard processes across GBS and BAT US teams.
  • Support and drive the CFOM model development and adoption in BAT US.
  • Maintain engagement with BAT US relevant senior Finance team members to drive continuous improvement in way of workings, develop strategic operational plans, and ensure a robust control environment.
  • Supervise operational metrics to support the Global R2R KPIs and drive actions to improve and implement to metrics, on a global level.
  • Conduct frequent performance evaluation and review against performance objectives set, to develop team's performance.
  • Actively build and drive the identification and development of a solid talent pipeline and potential successors for key positions in the Controllership Team.
  • Counsel team members on career development to help them achieve full potential and develop effective succession plans.

Essential Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • At least 10 years post-qualification experience and a strong base in financial accounting.
  • Qualified accountant is an added advantage.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
  • Strong knowledge of End Market (USA) business.
  • Deep knowledge of company controls, procedures, and Group policies.
  • Knowledge of tax legislation and processes is an added advantage.
  • Ability to communicate in a manner that generates excitement, passion, and dedication to the group mission and strategies, adapting level of communication based on target audience.
  • Ability to accurately predict business outcomes, foresee problems and hurdles before they arise, anticipate consequences, and impact of decisions, and plan accordingly.
