Key Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance and support to internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance requirements and issues related to consumer credit services.
- Conduct thorough gap assessments of business unit/functional area procedural documents against global policies to identify areas of non-compliance and develop action plans to address control breakdowns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Information Security, and Governmental Affairs, to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable privacy and consumer laws and regulations, including FCRA, FACTA, and GLBA.
- Participate in exams as the subject matter expert, working with the business unit to collect and analyze exam data, documents, and other information as requested.
- Work with the Regulatory Exam Manager to deliver ad hoc regulatory requests within specified service level agreements.
- Prepare and present materials for regulatory meetings, including kick-off decks and quarterly updates.
- Exercise persuasion and influence to engage others and achieve targeted results in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Three years' experience in regulatory risk and compliance/audit processes.
- Knowledge of federal and state privacy laws and regulations, including FCRA, FACTA, and GLBA, preferably from a consumer reporting agency (CRA) perspective.
- Ability to understand complex business issues and develop practical strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage through change and work under tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and in team settings.
