Job Overview

This Senior DevOps Engineer role plays a critical part in our cloud transformation journey, focusing on designing, building, and operating scalable cloud systems using AWS technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing best practices for cloud architecture, ensuring high levels of system reliability, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, document, and implement cloud standards and processes across Experian Business Units within AWS.
  • Create new Terraform architecture and modules to provision AWS resources.
  • Create, manage, and administrate Kubernetes running on EKS.
  • Create and modify Jenkins pipelines to support CI and automation.
  • Work with Software Development teams to write and tune their application Helm charts for EKS.
  • Perform performance engineering, load testing, hotspot isolation, and remediation.
  • Guide teams on best practices in the cloud.
  • Pilot new solutions in the cloud.
  • Configure APM, SLO, SLA, and alerting via Dynatrace.
  • Configure log metrics and analysis via Splunk.
  • Build and manage CI deployment process for all environments.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with expertise in container deployment and orchestration technologies at scale. You should also have knowledge of best practices related to security, performance, and disaster recovery. Additionally, you should be highly skilled in identifying performance bottlenecks, anomalous system behavior, and determining the root cause of incidents. You must have demonstrated the ability to effectively work collaboratively across functions, have a systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, and a sense of ownership and drive.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Experian, you can expect a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on your experience.
