Our Central IT organization is a hub of innovation, where we work closely with teams across the business to drive agility and efficiency.
This Role:
- Design and implement cloud native infrastructure, driving modernization and cost-effectiveness for our engineering teams
- Develop and maintain reference architectures, solutions, and patterns to guide engineering teams on new technologies and concepts
- Serve as a technical mentor and guide to engineering teams across the organization, promoting collaboration and knowledge-sharing
- Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, investigating and proving out new concepts, and leading the adoption of modern services and architectures
- Foster a culture of passion, curiosity, and creative problem-solving, balancing architecture and delivery needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technology-related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering)
- At least 10+ years of total IT experience, with 3+ years in a Cloud Engineer/Architect role
- Hands-on expertise in various modern AWS services, including IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, EventBridge, CloudFormation, and core services like EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3
- Experience designing and implementing cloud native infrastructure, landing zones, network and DNS, infrastructure automation, IAM, and data and storage solutions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate architecture tradeoffs, collaborate with engineering teams, and build strong partnerships across the organization
- Proven track record in software development life cycle (SDLC), agile/iterative methodologies, DevSecOps practices and tools, and Continuous integration and deployment practices
- Forward-thinking mindset, able to connect technological advancements to organizational needs and develop pathways for teams to leverage them
- Self-starter with a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement
- Relevant certification in public cloud services (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional) a plus
