Job Description
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for various legal entities across regions.
- Conduct thorough reviews of accounting processes to ensure compliance with global guidelines.
- Assist in managing multiple processes, reports, procedures, or products.
- Take ownership of accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi's reporting tools.
- Identify and resolve problems independently using sound judgment for assigned products/business.
- Implement workflow or process changes based on a strong understanding of the specific product/business/function.
- Clearly articulate own process along with key controls and supporting evidence in assigned area of work.
- Communicate effectively with Legal Entity Managers across locations regarding reconciliation/accounting status.
- Identify and escalate potential issues related to accounts to stakeholders such as Regional Balance Sheet control group/Country controllers/GPL/GPO and work towards resolution.
- Utilize knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic understanding of other areas to resolve issues impacting own area.
- Apply understanding of team and area integration with others to accomplish objectives.
- Provide guidance to new or junior analysts.
- Directly impact business by ensuring quality of work provided by self and others; impacting own team and closely related work teams.
- Direct day-to-day work of junior employees.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting management with commensurate stakeholder management experience
