Job Description
We are seeking an intern to support our Supplier Quality Assurance team in driving improvement and corrective action in the quality of components sourced from outside suppliers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in industrial, chemical, materials, or mechanical engineering, be actively pursuing certification, and have a high level of proficiency in English. Additionally, the candidate should be available to work 38-40 hours per week in site.
Responsibilities will include assessing potential new suppliers, providing technical support, generating and maintaining inspection procedures, training inspectors, and developing inspection tools and equipment. The successful candidate will also assist in generating component specifications, generate test protocols, monitor testing, issue qualification test reports, and approve components for use in products.
This role also involves providing input to Design Engineering on new component technology, assist in component selection, analyzing incoming material defects, communicating issues to suppliers, reviewing new design specifications, and supervising inspectors.
