Engineering Lead for Journey Orchestration and Channel Activation

Pfizer is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to join our Biopharma, Patient & CDI team, specifically the Platform DevOps team. As a key member of our MarTech team, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of our Marketing Technology (Martech) platform, which manages customer data collected from integrated websites, mobile apps, and marketing platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the engineering team responsible for the Martech platform, ensuring the successful operation of services, reliability, uptime, and security.
- Design and run the operating model for the services, creating a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the team.
- Manage incidents, vendor relationships, and communication approaches, ensuring a sustainable environment of collaboration across multiple teams at Pfizer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product roles, to achieve desired objectives.
- Align with and contribute to our network of service managers and principal engineers.
- Proven experience in software engineering, with a focus on leading complex projects.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish relationships, influence outcomes, and deliver effective presentations to various audiences.
- Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner, influencing resources outside of immediate span of control.
- Ability to lead in a complex, matrix environment with geographically distributed resources.
- Excellent skills in analysis, critical thinking, and planning, oral and written communication, consensus building, facilitation, negotiation, and the ability to readily learn a new business area.
- Proven capability handling large-scale, enterprise software requirements definition, designs, and implementations in a global 24/7 environment.
- Proven technology solutions delivery in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment.
- Broad technical knowledge of digital pharmaceutical sciences platforms and best practices across both user interfaces and back-end systems.
- Proven leadership skills, mentorship, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members and fellow engineers towards achieving common goals.
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies and best practices for implementing principles of privacy and security 'by design'.
- Understanding of the implications, regulations, and best practices of data handling in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Understanding of DevSecOps best practices, driving an 'Everything as Code instead of paperwork' mentality.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience with increasing responsibility delivering digital solutions, products, and services.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in engineering leadership are a plus.
This is a global role, in a team whose stakeholders and resources are largely based in North America. Travel may be required from time to time. Attendance at meetings in the Eastern US time zone will be required.
