The Opportunity

This position is part of our Alajuela, Coyol team in the Vascular division, which provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective solutions for treating vascular disease.

Key Responsibilities

  • We assess potential new suppliers based on their technical, quality, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Our team provides technical support for introducing components from new suppliers.
  • We evaluate, monitor, and approve new and existing external suppliers based on their qualifications and performance.
  • We analyze incoming material defects and communicate issues to suppliers.
  • We investigate failures related to supplier materials and dispositions, drive corrective/preventive action plans when necessary.
  • We generate test protocols, monitor testing, issue material qualification test reports, and approve components for use.
  • We assist in generating component specifications, maintain incoming inspection procedures, and provide input from component quality, inspectability, and manufacturability perspectives.
  • We mentor employees by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance.
  • We're responsible for meeting daily goals, proactively seeking ways to support customers, and maintaining compliance without stopping production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related STEM field.
  • 4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Advanced level of English proficiency.

We offer an estimated salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
