Remote Interpreter

About the Role

Lionbridge Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Remote Interpreter to provide accurate and timely interpretation services between English and Spanish via telephone.

Key Responsibilities

• Render complex concepts and meanings from one language into another, adhering to grammar and syntax rules in both languages.
• Provide complete and accurate interpretations, employing excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Manage call flow, adhere to client instructions, and maintain confidentiality.
• Stay updated on Lionbridge glossaries and terminology lists, as well as client-specific call protocols.
• Participate in random quality control monitoring and upload scoresheets to the CMS.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to onboard additional community interpreter resources.

Requirements

• 2+ years of interpretation experience, with telephonic-specific experience preferred.
• Near-native fluency in English and Spanish, along with cultural dynamics knowledge.
• Passing score on the Lionbridge Spanish language assessment exam and completion of required online training courses.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills, as well as superior customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office suite proficiency.
• BS Degree (or equivalent) in languages, translation, interpretation, or related fields preferred.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $45,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. This figure may vary depending on individual qualifications and experience.
